We started working with Travelodge in 2002. In that time, they've opened more than 80 new hotels, revolutionised their sector with radical new pricing, re-branded, changed all their agencies (apart from us) at least once, and been sold and bought (twice).
Working with them is never dull.
We work as part of their team, to deliver and manage all their online services, including:
- The systems that power all the online bookings (whether consumer, corporate, groups)
- The databases that hold their online customer data (including 1,000,000 registered members)
- The screens their call centres use to make bookings
- Automated voice recognition booking systems
- Multi-server hosting platform and architecture
- Unique room and offer searches
- SMS services
- A load of other stuff.
The results have transformed the Travelodge business:
- Online bookings now account for over 80% of their business (Only 7% before we got involved)
- There are 1,000,000 registered members of their website
- The visits-to-booking conversion rate rose from 2% to over 9%
- Time-to-book reduced by 50%
- Integration of food, beverage & insurance products
