October 15th 2007... Sense Internet - a leader in New Media and founded in 1995 when the internet was just a twinkle in a few people's eyes - has announced its first new look since then and presented bursaries to three New Media students from Leeds College of Technology.

The new look is reflected in art-house style offices in central Leeds and a complete re-design of the website at www.sense.co.uk, launched Thursday October 11th. The following day, Sense opened the doors to its offices to clients, local media and friends, for a company re-launch party and the presentation of the bursaries.

"The internet has been through many changes in just 12 years and we have been part of them and helped shape them," says Sense Managing Director Aidan Cook.

Cook went straight from selling slices of melon on Brighton beach to heading up one of the first website design companies in the UK, if not the world, quickly winning business from blue chip names.

Sense recently announced it has won six new clients in six months, all of them prestigious names in their fields, from ASDA and Provident Insurance Group to the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Says Cook: "The internet is now so much more than web design. It's almost everything that is also offline - and more, such as sophisticated e-marketing and e-branding - which is why we have had an image makeover."

Presentation of cheques to three students

Cook presented £350 to each of the top three students (Michal Modlinski, Brad Ibbetson and Josh Freeman) on Leeds College of Technology's New Media course, to be spent on software that will help them on the course.

Says Peter Ryder, Principal of Leeds College of Technology: "These bursaries show a real commitment to young people in the region. We appreciate the time Sense Internet gives us in visits and advice, and we salute their efforts to show an interest in the next generation of web developers."

Sense regularly takes an input of New Media students from the college as new employees, and devotes half a day a week in training to further their skills.
